- Transaction Mode
The Transaction Mode is a property of the Desigo CC server. It sets how data is written to the project database.
- In System Browser, select Management View.
- Select Project > Management System > Servers > Main Server.
- In the Extended Operation tab, select the Transaction Mode property.
- Select the option Logging or Simple.
Logging
Used during normal operation. Internal transactions are completed only after all the internal data is written to disk. This prevents data loss or database corruption in the event of crash or hardware failure.
Simple
Used during bulk engineering activities, such as importing subsystem data. It allows configuration tasks to be completed faster. However, in the event of a system crash or hardware failure, any unsaved data might be lost and the stored data might be corrupted.
- Set Transaction Mode to Simple to increase system performance during bulk configuration activities.
To remind the users to switch Transaction Mode back to Logging when the configuration activities are completed, the Desigo CC station generates an event when Transaction Mode is set to Simple.

Set Transaction Mode back to Logging when bulk configuration activities are completed to guarantee the database integrity over crashes or hardware failures.
