Migrating and Upgrading SiPass

Upgrade SiPass V3.0 or higher to V4.x.

  1. From the new Desigo CC extension pack (EP2 or EP3), install the SiPass extension.
  1. Follow the standard system management console (SMC) procedure to upgrade the project and its extension modules.
  • The previous SiPass configuration is retained in the upgraded project.

Upgrade SiPass V2.x to V4.x

  1. Uninstall Desigo CC V2.x.
    NOTE: The upgrade of Desigo CC with SiPass is not supported. You must uninstall the previous version of the Desigo CC software.
  2. Install Desigo CC V4.x with the Security > SiPass extension.
  3. Restore the V2.x project.
  4. Ignore the V2.x SiPass objects in the project and instead configure a new SiPass driver, network, and server, and import the SiPass configuration into it. For instructions, see the workflow Integrating SiPass Access Control.
  5. Contact customer support about how to delete the V2.x configuration objects (you need to apply a special procedure that is not performed automatically).
