Importing BTL Library

Scenario: You want to replace the Desigo CC standard library with the BTL library (see https://www.bacnetinternational.net/btl/). The workflow guides you through the required steps. Desigo CC

Prerequisites:

  • System Manager is in Engineering mode.
  • The System Browser is in Management View.

 

Steps:

1 –Check the Number of Data Points
  1. Select Project > Management System > Server > Server > Licenses.
  1. In the sbt_gms_add_ba_dp line, check the number of data points.

 

2 – Import Extended BTL Library
  1. Select Project > System Settings > Libraries.
  1. Select the Library Configurator tab.
  • Available libraries are displayed.
  1. Click Import.
  1. Open [GMSProjects] > GMSMainProject > Libraries > Exports.
  1. Select the BA_Device_PX_HQ_2_BTL.gms file and click Open.
  • The file is selected.
  1. Click Yes.
  • The button is disabled during import.

 

3 – Importing Localized Texts for the Extended Library
  1. Select Project.
  1. Select the Localization tab.
  1. Open the Import expander and click Browse.
  1. Open [GMSProjects] > GMSMainProject > Libraries > Exports > [Language].
  1. Select the BA_Device_PX_HQ_2_BTL.xml file and click Open.
  1. Click Import.
  • The import status displays in the Status column.
  • The import is concluded when the Import window displays.
  1. Click OK.
  • The localized library texts are imported.

 

4 – Import Standard Library
  1. Select Project > System Settings > Libraries.
  1. Select the Library Configurator tab.
  • Available libraries are displayed.
  1. Click Import.
  1. Open [GMSProjects] > GMSMainProject > Libraries > Exports.
  1. Select file BA_Device_PX_HQ_2.gms and click Open.
  • The file is selected.
  1. Click Yes.
  • The button is disabled during import.

 

5 – Import Localized Texts for Standard Library
  1. Select Project.
  1. Select the Localization tab.
  1. Open the Import expander and click Browse.
  1. Open [GMSProjects] > GMSMainProject > Libraries > Exports > [Language].
  1. Select the BA_Device_PX_HQ_2.xml file and click Open.
  1. Click Import.
  • The import status displays in the Status column.
  • The import is concluded when the Import window displays.
  1. Click OK.
  • The localized library texts are imported.
