OPC UA Known Issues

When using the UA wrapper with Desigo CC OPC server, some side effects might occur that affect the OPC server (although they do not prevent it from functioning).

• The UA wrapper acts like an OPC client with respect to the OPC server. Consequently, when the service starts, the OPC server starts as well. If IOWA is not active or the OPC configuration is not yet set, the OPC server automatically closes. After a predefined time interval, the UA wrapper restarts the OPC server. This behavior continues until IOWA becomes active and the OPC configuration is not completed.
• The number of clients connected to the OPC server is incorrect because the UA wrapper hides the connections and disconnections of the UA clients.
