Switching the Transaction Mode for Video Engineering

To speed up configuration, set the transaction mode to simple before starting any video engineering procedures that create a large number of System Browser objects. For example, you should do this before connecting the video system for the first time, or after making significant changes to the cameras configuration in the VMS.

When the configuration is complete, set the transaction mode back to logging to resume normal operational monitoring.

Set the Transaction Mode to Simple to Speed Configuration Tasks

1. In System Browser, select Management View.

2. Select Project > Management System > Servers > Main Server.

3. In the Extended Operation tab, select the Transaction Mode property.

4. In the drop-down list, select Simple.

5. Click Set.

Set the Transaction Mode to Logging when Configuration is Complete

1. In System Browser, select Management View.

2. Select Project > Management System > Servers > Main Server.

3. In the Extended Operation tab, select the Transaction Mode property.

4. In the drop-down list, select Logging.

5. Click Set.
