Blocking a Controlled Door

Scenario: You block a door when you want to permanently lock it regardless of any programmed access authorization. You can then restore the normal operation with an unblock command.

For more information about doors, see SiPass Door Events and Commands.

  1. In System Browser, select Management View.
  1. Expand the access control network and select the door you want to block.
  1. In the Extended Operation tab, in Block Status, click Block.
  • The door is locked, and all inputs, outputs and readers are disabled.
  1. Click Unblock to restore the normal operations.
  • The door remains locked, and all inputs, outputs and readers are re-enabled. Authorized users can now enter again by presenting a valid card.
